Some people know what they want in life from the very beginning and Ryan is one of those. Ryan Seacrest was born to Constance Marie née Zullinger, a homemaker, and Gary Lee Seacrest, an attorney. During his childhood days Ryan wanted to become a DJ and in order to fulfill his dream he started practicing at home by mimicking radio personalities like Casey Kasem and Dick Clark. Ryan grew up with that passion.
At the age of sixteen he applied for an internship at one of Atlanta’s top radio stations, WSTR/Star 94, thus marking the beginning of his professional career. Soon afterwards he was made a regular on the radio and a show was given to him from 7 PM to midnight shift. The show became one of the highest rated shows on the radio. Along with being a RJ he continued his studies and even attended the University of Georgia. While he was in the first year of the college he was given the opportunity to host the daily sports game show ‘Radical Outdoor Challenge’ for ESPN, which also marked his first television appearance.
At the age of nineteen Ryan moved to Hollywood in order to continue his career in broadcasting. Ryan started his professional career of hosting television shows with Lover’s Lane on Beverly Hills, 90210 in “The Final Proof”. His first major television assignment was as the host of “The New Edge’.

The next year, in 2002 he accepted co-hosting the “American Idol” with comedian Brian Dunkleman. The very next year Brian left the American Idol and since then it is Ryan who is hosting this very famous reality series, “American Idol”.
Besides “American Idol”, Ryan has hosted shows like “American Juniors”, “American Top 40”. Ryan also started his own show under the name “On Air with Ryan Seacrest”. The show was cancelled due to low ratings. In 2005, it was announced that Ryan would be the executive producer and co-host of “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve”. In 2006, E! announced a three-year, $21 million deal for Seacrest under which Seacrets is allowed host and produce various programs for E! Currently, Ryan is the executive producer of the reality show “Denise Richards: It’s Complicated” on E! Recently E! has renewed their contract with Seacrest, for three more years.
